District 4 Human Resources Development Council and Havre Public Schools have announced their summer breakfast and lunch programs.
The programs run from June 10 through Aug. 9.
Meals will be made available at the HRDC building at no charge to attending children 18 years of age and younger who have enrolled in the program.
Children who are members of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families assistance units, or households receiving Food Distribution Programs on Indian Reservations benefits are automatically eligible to receive free meal benefits at eligible program sites.
Other children from families whose income is at or below the levels in the table included here are also eligible for free meal benefits if enrolled in a program offered at the site.
Meals will be served at HRDC, 2229 Fifth Ave. in Havre, Tuesday through Friday. Breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 10:59 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its a gencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.
Havre Public Schools with its Simplified Summer Food Program for children is offering summer meals at two sites.
The summer meals are a continuation of a program it has sponsored for several years.
The meals will be served free of charge at Highland Park Early Primary School and Lincoln-McKinley Primary School to children 18 and younger - and at a cost of $3 for breakfast and $4 for lunch for people older than 18.
Breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 10:59 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
