A hemp oil business announced it is opening a plant in Havre and is reminding people that Wednesday is the the deadline to register with Montana Department of Agriculture to receive a license to grow hemp in Montana.
Morgan Elliott of IndHemp LLC said this morning the company has secured a building off U.S. Highway 2 West.
"We take ownership Wednesday and start construction Wednesday," she said.

The company, which is a licensed Montana commodity dealer and seed distributor, will be processing the grain at the Havre oilseed processing plant.
"We look forward to working with growers in Montana to provide a processing alternative for this new crop," IndHemp President Ken Elliott said in the release.
