From Havre-Hill County Library Foundation
The Havre-Hill County Library Foundation is holding its annual meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. in the library meeting room.
A membership gives people a vote at the annual meeting and an opportunity to get involved in the community’s library. The public is encouraged to attend the program that will be presented after a very short business meeting. The entertainment involves honoring community members who have been involved in the library.
The memorial of Mariann Miller, the recently deceased wife of long-time library board member Dr. Frank Miller, purchased a key board for the library. Marge Holt will play a few of Mariann Miller’s favorite songs on the key board as it will be unveiled at the annual meeting. The key board will be available at the library for people to practice or enjoy with head sets.
The familiar sound of the ”ole” wind-up clock will soon be returned. The memorial of George Noffsinger, the recently deceased husband of long-time board member Dolores Noffsinger, repaired the clock that has graced the wall of the Havre Public Library for more than 100 years.
Dr. Bill Rader’s memory lives on at the Havre-Hill County Library through his wonderful collection of presidents’ plates. The late Dr. Rader served on the library board, served as the chair of the foundation board and was instrumental in establishing an endowment within the foundation.
The library is located on the corner of Third Street and Fourth Avenue, and the hours are:
Monday and Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
