Natalee Faupel finishes first pro hoops season in Europe

It has been a whirlwind last year for former Montana State University-Northern great Natalee Faupel. The Skylight’s all-time leading scorer recently completed her first season of professional basketball.

Playing for Lemvig Basket, a professional team in Denmark, Faupel played in all 20 games, averaging 15.2 points, seven rebounds, and three assists per game. She shot nearly 50 percent from the field, 36 percent from the 3-point line, and 79 percent from the free throw line. Lemvig Basket finished with an overall record of 5-15 for the season and lost in the first round of the Dameligaen League playoffs.

Faupel, a 2017 Northern graduate and a two-time First-Team NAIA All-American said in a press release: "I am grateful for the opportunity to play another year of basketball at a high level. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I'm excited for what is to come in the future."
