The Montana State University-Northern rodeo team is off and riding so to speak. The Lights and Skylights opened the 2019 Big Sky Region season at last weekend’s Montana State Rodeo in Bozeman, which was held inside the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
And Northern turned in some solid performances.
Northern’s Liam Marshall finished third and fourth in the bareback riding, while Kassidy Williamson turned in an excellent third-place finish in the goat tying.
Zane Marcenko had a third-place finish in the tie-down roping, as well as sixth-place finishes in tie-down and steer wrestling, while Shane Bird Rattler placed fifth in saddle bronc and Clay Doney was fifth in the team roping.
The Lights and Skylights are back on the road this weekend, with the Miles Community College Rodeo in Miles City.
