A Havre Police squad car is parked out front of Gary and Leo's Fresh Foods after a malfunctioning heater filled the entire store with smoke Thursday in Havre.
Gary & Leo's Fresh Foods was forced to close and evacuate employees and customers around 3:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon after a heater in a back room began producing smoke which filled the building.
Havre Fire and Police responded to the scene, and the building was reopened about half an hour later. Co-owner John Malisani said there was no fire during the incident. No injuries were reported.
