Havre Police Department

A vehicle versus mailbox crash was reported on McKinley Avenue at 8:11 a.m. Wednesday.

Laine Alice Walker of Havre, 29, was arrested on a partner or family member assault charge after a 13th Street West caller reported a fight Wednesday at 8:52 a.m.

--

A summons was issued after an officer assisted a county agency Wednesday at 9:52 a.m. on Thompson Street. No details were provided on the charges.

--

A summons was issued on a tobacco violation reported at 2:37 p.m. Wednesday at Havre High School.

--

Wednesday at 5:14 p.m. a vehicle was reported hit while parked at Lincoln-McKinley Primary School on Fourth Street.

--

A Second Street caller reported Wednesday at 5:43 p.m. finding a needle in their yard.

--

At 7:11 p.m. Wednesday a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business reported a woman had stolen several items and left the scene in a silver four-door car.

Michael Sean Sangrey of Havre, 31, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, refused to test; reckless driving, and driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, after a caller on First Avenue reported a non-injury head-on vehicle crash Wednesday at 10:13 p.m.

A disturbance was reported on Second Street at 1:32 a.m. today.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A U.S. Highway 2 West business caller reported a possible fake $100 bill, Wednesday at 10:15 a.m.

Shawn Lee Denny of Great Falls, 28, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and a state District Court warrant.

--

A dog bite reported at Box Elder School Wednesday at 5:20 p.m. was referred to another agency.

--

A theft of money was reported in the parking lot of a U.S. Highway 2 West business Wednesday at 7:18 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Wednesday and one early this morning.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held three medium-hair cats, one long-hair cat, a medium-hair 13-week-old kitten and a medium-hair 8-month-old kitten all of unknown gender, two medium-hair male cats, one short-hair female cat and one medium-hair female cat. Two other cats were being held at a foster as part of the trap-spay/neuter-release program.

The Havre shelter also held this morning three female mixed-breed dogs, a female shepherd-Labrador retriever dog, a female mixed-breed 13-week-old puppy, a female husky dog, a female Labrador retriever-border collie dog, a male pit bull terrier dog and a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler-border collie dog.
