Police Protective Association holding Little Texas concert next week

The Havre Police Protective Association annual concert is coming up April 11 at Montana State University-Northern’s Armory Gymnasium featuring Little Texas with comedian Mark Cordes opening the show.

Little Texas is a country music band that was started in 1988 and has performed all over the country.

Their bass player, Duane Propes said the band likes to support organizations like the Police Protective Association.

“Little Texas is so very proud of the people who put themselves in harm’s way every day to keep us safe and we support them all wholeheartedly,” he said. “Our United States military personnel become our first responders, our police, our firefighters — they continue to serve their home towns even after they¹ve served our country.”

Havre Police Sgt. Ryan Pearson said the association is an organization of Havre officers who support youth programs and efforts in the community. The annual concert helps funds its efforts.

“The organization puts on Shop with a Cop and donates to multiple youth organizations that are in need of money or donations,” Pearson said.

The proceeds from the concert will go to supporting charitable projects such as Shop with a Cop and the Giving Tree.

The doors to the show will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Norman’s Ranch and Sportswear and the Havre Police Department, or people can call 265-2388 for tickets.

Tickets also will be sold at the door of the concert.

Tickets are $38, and people who buy five tickets will receive a sixth for free.
