Community foundation sets Spring for the Arts April 27

Hill County Community Foundation is hosting its second annual gala fundraiser, Spring for the Arts, Saturday, April 27, to raise funds for projects in the county.

“Thanks to the generosity of this community, last year’s event was very successful and raised proceeds for our annual fall grant cycle,” said Pam Veis the HCCF chair. “Due to the success of last year’s event, our annual grantable amount grew from $1,500 in 2017 to $7,200 in 2018 — all of which was distributed back into Hill County communities last fall. These grants funded innovative projects submitted by Hill County nonprofit organizations promoting arts and culture, community beautification and basic human needs.”

Spring for the Arts will run from 6 to 10 p.m. April 27 in the Havre Historic Post Office.

“Enjoy an elegant evening in downtown Havre with live music from Marge Holt, a prime rib and shrimp dinner catered by Andy’s, Vic’s Place no-host bar, a wine pull, dessert auction and a silent and live art auction with works from local artists; and starring Martin Holt as founder James Hill,” a release about the event says.

Tickets are $45 each or $300 for a table of six and $400 for a table of eight. People can call 390-4947 for tickets or table reservations. Space is limited so reservations are encouraged.

Hill County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Montana Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
