Youths invited to audition for first Treasure State Talent Show

Montana youths have been invited to submit auditions to an event June 15 intended to highlight Montana talent.

The deadline to submit video auditions to Treasure State Talent 2019 is May 15.

The competition will be in Fergus High School Auditorium in Lewistown Saturday, June 15, at 7 p.m.

“This will be, hopefully our first year of many years to come for the statewide promotion of our talented youth in Montana,” a post on the event’s website said. “The White Sulphur Springs High School Music Program Is a proud sponsor and the primary group responsible for the organization and promotion of this event. Our goal is to showcase some of the best and most talented young people around the state.”

Judges will select 20 of the entries to compete and be judged at the show in Lewistown in June.

Top placings will receive cash prizes, tickets to Red Ants Pants Music Festival July 25-28 in White Sulphur Springs and a side stage performance at the festival.

Entries are open to youth residing in Montana, ages 13 to 19.  Auditions will be accepted in video form only and may be submitted via email at [email protected] or uploaded it through the Treasure State Tealent website link.

To enter, youths must record a three- to 10-minute audition video displaying their talent or presentation, upload the video to YouTube using a privacy setting that allows anyone with a link to view the video.

The entrants must download the registration packet and fill out all required spaces, making sure to paste the URL for the YouTube video at the bottom of the registration form.
