Information sessions for students interested in applying to military academies set for Bozeman, Great Falls, Billings, Missoula
(U.S. Congress) — For Montana students interested in attending one of America’s prestigious military academies, U.S. Sens. Jon Tester and Steve Daines and Congressman Greg Gianforte have announced the dates and times of their annual Academy and ROTC Days this year.
The free events will take place in Bozeman, Great Falls, Billings and Missoula and feature representatives from Tester, Daines and Gianforte’s offices, as well as officials from the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and the ROTC.
• Saturday, April 13, Bozeman, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., American Legion Post 14, 225 East Main St.
• Saturday, April 27, Great Falls, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., Montana Air National Guard Building 64, 2800 Airport Ave. B
• Saturday, May 11, Billings, 10 a.m. – noon., Billings Army Reserve Center, 1430 Broadwater Ave.
• Saturday, May 18, Missoula 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Missoula Armed Forces Reserve Center, 9283 Running West R.
Applying to a military academy requires at least one nomination, usually from a member of Congress. Academy Days give students, parents and educators the ability to meet with Congressional representatives and academy experts so they can get the information and advice they need to successfully navigate the academy application process.
