After a lengthy preparation, Havre Pastors Brian and Vicki Barrows of Abundant Life Ministries tonight are dedicating their new building, the former First Baptist Church at 625 Fourth Avenue.
The church was forced to close its doors because of a decline in attendance.
After discussions with First Baptist, Abundant Life Ministries were able to purchase the facility, Brian Barrows said.
He added that he would like to thank the people of First Baptist because “they have blessed us abundantly and gave us a price that we could afford.”
Abundant Life Ministries first opened the doors to their new facility Feb. 1.
Barrows said the church spent time renovating and upgrading the new facility. He said they hope to eventually use the larger facility to house a Bible school and training center to help disciple people to be followers of Christ.
Abundant Life Ministries still owns their old facility but are leasing it to Havre Baptist Church, with the option to buy, he said.
The dedication is tonight from 6 to 7 p.m. with the ministry’s divisional leaders Nick and Robin Gough as featured guests.
Barrows said he encourages past and present members to attend, and he also offered an invite to the public.
