Grief Poem - Most Every Day There's Clouds

We look at clouds most every day; we may see “angel hair.”

Clouds block the sun; they might bring rain or snow just everywhere.

Our “mate” is there, they see both sides, mirage may be a “wall.”

We look around and watch clouds move; but don’t know clouds at all.

We see a shape or shadow form in colors of blue-gray.

So many things we might have done but clouds got in the way.

We look at clouds most any day; they’re big or pretty small.

But still somehow, we’re in the dark; we don’t know clouds at all.

What do “they” see that we don’t see? Do “they” see both sides now?

Do they look down and all around? Maybe they, too, say “WOW!”

These dazzling clouds our Lord has made, summer, winter, spring, fall,

They’re on the move, no two alike; we don’t know clouds at all!

When we look up, we just see clouds, though some may soak us wet.

Clouds move about, heavens beyond, how high (1) will they soar yet?

But someday soon we’ll see both sides, plus jet streams “feather” trail.

To see it all like “they” see clouds, our awe will never fail.

Clouds, white as snow or stormy grey, or laced with heavenly blue,

God’s handiwork; when He calls us, we’ll view the clouds with you!
