Havre Police Department

Child Abuse Hotline reported suspicious activity in the Havre area Wednesday at 4:59 p.m.

A non-injury vehicle crash was reported on the Montana State University-Northern campus at 5:02 p.m. Wednesday.

Naomi Faye Hinkle of Havre, 29, was arrested on charges of traffic crime, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and no vehicle insurance, during a vehicle stop at 8:21 p.m. Wednesday on Fourth Avenue.

A caller on 16th Avenue requested assistance Wednesday at 10:50 p.m. with some tenants.

Zakary Kenneth Canning of Havre, 24, was arrested on charges of assault with minor injuries and resisting arrest after he asked at 2:41 a.m. today for officer assistance removing an intoxicated woman from his house.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A deputy reported at 11:46 a.m. Wednesday that an abandoned vehicle in Beaver Creek Park needed to be towed.

Richard Joel Meyers of Box Elder, 29, was arrested on Justice or City court warrant at Hill County Detention Center at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday.

A sex offense in the Havre area was reported by the Child Abuse Hotline Wednesday at 3:38 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to four calls Wednesday and one early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on the 500 Block of Fourth Street at 12:51 p.m. Wednesday. No CO was detected by either the fire department's equipment or NorthWestern Energy's, so the detector was determined to be malfunctioning will be replaced.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held two medium-hair cats, two long-hair 7-month-old kittens, one long-hair 9-month-old kitten and a medium-hair 6-month-old kitten all of unknown gender, four medium-hair male cats, one long-hair male cat and one long-hair female cat.

The Havre shelter also held this morning a female mixed-breed dog, a male border collie 9-month-old puppy, female shepherd-Labrador retriever dog, a male golden retriever dog, a male mixed-breed 13-week-old puppy, two male pit bull terrier dogs and a male mixed-breed 25-week-old puppy.

A girl was born Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, to Lisa Ornelas and Jason Rosette Sr. of Box Elder.
