Obituary - David D. Kleinsasser

David D. Kleinsasser of Hartland Colony, age 87, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019.

His funeral was held on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at noon at Hartland Colony.

Holland and Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

David was born on November 30, 1931 to David and Mary (Entz) Kleinsasser in Magrath, AB, Canada. He attended Rockport school in Magrath though the eighth grade. On December 4, 1952, David married Rachel Waldner at the Rockport Colony and the couple was blessed with 12 children. David enjoyed reading and was interested in anything farm-related. Over the years, David worked as the Hartland Colony secretary and as farm boss.

David was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Rachel; daughter Sarah; grandchildren Clara and Levi.

David is survived by daughters Rachel (the Rev. John) Kleinsasser, Ruth (Joe) Waldner, Rosa ( the Rev. Jake) Waldner, and Mary (John) Wurz; sons, David (Sarah) Kleinsasser, Sam (Lena) Kleinsasser, John (Nancy) Kleinsasser, Rev. George (Mary) Kleinsasser, Joe (Judy) Kleinsasser, Jake (Judy) Kleinsasser, and Dan (Helen) Kleinsasser; sister, Mary (John) Waldner; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
