Havre Police Department

A hit-and-run crash was reported from Beaver Creek Boulevard Thursday at 7:58 a.m. The caller said it looked like a Dodge pickup truck was sideswiped during the night.

A two-vehicle, non-injury crash in which a red Dodge pickup rear ended a silver Chevrolet Volt was reported Thursday at 8:01 a.m. at Fifth Avenue and Ninth Street.

A Second Street caller reported Thursday at 8:51 a.m. that a Ford Focus was sideswiped during the night.

Randy Lee Friede of Havre, 37, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, failure to stop and identify self after striking an unattended vehicle, careless driving and stop sign violation after a caller at a First Street business reported at 9:10 a.m. Thursday that gray Chevrolet pickup sideswiped a vehicle in the parking lot.

A vehicle crash between an Elantra and a Ranger was reported Thursday at 1:33 p.m. at a First Street business.

Officers made an arrest on a warrant at Havre City Court on Fourth Street Thursday at 1:52 p.m.

A caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a Honda Crosstour was rear ended by a truck Thursday at 5:59 p.m.

Wesley Alan Main Jr. of Harlem, 33, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting and on a Justice or City court warrant, and Jason Leroy Birdtail of Harlem, 30 was arrested on a charge of shoplifting, after a caller at a First Street business reported two 30-packs of beer were stolen.

A caller on U.S. Highway 2 West reported a light pole down in the eastbound lane Thursday at 11:08 p.m.

A caller on First Street Northeast asked Thursday at 11:47 p.m. to speak with an officer about a threatening message.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A Thursday 4:22 p.m. report of a Chevrolet Malibu rear ended by a van at a U.S. Highway 2 West business was referred to Montana Highway Patrol.

Two arrests were made after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a shoplifter Thursday at 6:02 p.m. No details on the charges were provided.

A caller on U.S. Highway 87 reported Snow drifts in the driving lanes Thursday at 6:07 p.m.

A caller on U.S. Highway 2 East reported snow drifts across the eastbound lanes at 4:41 this morning.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Thursday and one Friday, and one false alarm call came in to the station at 3:42 p.m. Thursday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held two long-hair 7-month-old kittens, a medium-hair 6-month-old kitten, one long-hair 9-month-old kitten and two medium-hair cats all of unknown gender, four medium-hair male cats, one medium-hair female cat, one male long-hair cat and one male short-hair cat as well as two cats for its trap-spay/neuter-release program.

The Havre shelter also held this morning one female mixed-breed dog, a female shepherd-Labrador retriever dog, a male golden retriever dog, a male border collie dog, a male mixed breed 11-week-old puppy, a male pit bull terrier dog, a male mixed-breed 23-week-old puppy and a male pit bull terrier dog.
