Darrin Kent Torgerson of Havre, 46, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and violation of conditions of release, during a vehicle stop on First Street Tuesday at 8:57 a.m. Torgerson was listed on the jail roster this morning with the additional charges pending of felony stalking and misdemeanor violation of a protection order, a second count of violation of conditions of release from District Court and trespass to property.

Someone stopped at the police station to report a fraudulent phone account Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.

Victorri Faith Rosette of Havre, 22, was arrested on charges of theft of belongings from a vehicle and trespass to vehicles, after a caller at a First Street establishment reported Tuesday at 4:59 p.m. binoculars were stolen and a 14th Avenue caller reported suspicious activity at 5:05 p.m.

Officers assisted Havre Fire Department at a vehicle fire on Ninth Street at 3:20 a.m. today.

Deputies had no calls listed in the dispatch log resulting in arrests or investigations.

Emergency medical personnel responded to one call Tuesday and one call early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a structure fire reported at 6:14 p.m. Tuesday on the 800 Block of Second Street West and found smoke in the basement caused by an electrical problem with a sauna. Burnt boards were removed and the area was checked for further damage. HFD recommended the owner contact an electrician.

Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire on the 800 Block of Ninth Street West at 3:17 a.m. today. The crew stretched a line to the vehicle and douse the fire with foam. The cause of the fire was discarded ashesfrom a fire placed in the pickup box.
Havre Animal Shelter
The Havre shelter this morning held one medium-hair cat, one short-hair cat, one long-hair 9-month-old kitten, a medium-hair 6-month-old kitten and two long-hair 7-month-old kittens all of unknown gender, one medium-hair female cat, one male long-hair cat and four medium-hair male cats, as well as two cats for its trap-spay/neuter-release program.

The Havre shelter also held this morning one female mixed-breed dog, a male Chihuahua dog, a female shepherd-Labrador retriever dog, a male Labrador Retriever dog, a male shepherd dog, a male border collie dog, a male mixed breed 11-week-old puppy, a male pit bull terrier dog, a female Anatolian shepherd-husky 11-month-old puppy, a male mixed-breed 22-week-old puppy and a male pit bull terrier dog.
