Press release

Do you have pre-diabetes or diabetes? Would you like to learn diabetes-friendly recipes? Do you care for someone with diabetes? A class for you is set in Havre.

Dining with Diabetes is a cooking school and nutrition education program designed for people with diabetes and or their caregivers. The series consists of four weekly classes that include: cooking demonstrations, healthy techniques, sampling and making of food, and diabetes education.

Montana State University Extension has received a grant to pilot Dining with Diabetes for free in selected counties in Montana.

MSU Hill County Extension and Bullhook Community Health Center have partnered to offer Dining with Diabetes the following Wednesdays: Feb. 27, March 6, March 13 and March 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Bullhook.

Again, the class is free, but space is limited. People can register by Tuesday, Feb. 25, by calling Extension Agent Jasmine Carbajal at 406-400-2335 or by emailing her at [email protected].
