Hi-Line Athlete's of the Week

Martin Wilkie, Havre Wrestling

There isn't much left to say about the wrestling career of Havre High's Martin Wilkie. Saturday night in Billings summed it all up, he's simply one of the best ever. Wilkie became Montana's 34th four-time state champion, and the third in Havre history. His victory over Sidney's Sidney Burnison also capped a perfect 46-0 season, and, concluded a state tournament in which he recorded all four of his wins by pinfall. Wilkie will not take his talents to NCAA Division I Minnesota to continue his wrestling career.

Kinzee Peterson, Ice Hawks Hockey

Kinzee Peterson has had an incredible sports career in Havre, and it's not over yet. And, in her final two home games as the Havre Ice Hawk's starting goalie, Peterson was outstanding. Peterson kept the Flathead Fusion from scoring in the third period Sunday morning at the Havre Ice Dome, which lifted Havre to a 5-4 win. Over the two senior-weekend games against the Fusion, Peterson stopped 81 of 92 shots. Peterson is also a standout golfer and softball player at the Havre High.
