OUTDOORS: Milk River Gobblers Banquet is Saturday

The Milk River Gobblers will be holding their first annual Milk River Gobblers Banquet this weekend.

The banquet is set for Saturday at the Eagles Club. The banquet will start at 5 p.m. with cocktails, followed by a prime rib dinner at 6:30. There will be a silent auction, a live auction, a variety of games, prizes and chances to win firearms. There's also a raffle ticket package that gets you entered to win different firearms. There is the Trophy Tom Ticket Package and this package includes $300 in raffle tickets and three chances at three guns, which are a Winchester, a Taurus, and a Remington shotgun.

Jeff Dibblee helped start Milk River Gobblers. He says that a group of local turkey enthusiasts had been associated with the National Wild Turkey Federation, but, wanting to keep things, including volunteerism and raised funds local, Dibblee decided to branch out and form a local turkey club.

Tickets for the banquet are $40 per person or $75 per couple, and there are limited seats available.

The guest speaker will be a Wildlife Biologist from the Havre office of Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks.
