NAMI to hold family support group meetings in Havre

National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI, Havre is having family support group meetings Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at 625 Fourth Ave., through the back door.

People at the meetings talk about issues like:

ADHD

ADD

Autism

PTSD

Eating disorders

Bipolar 1 and 2

Borderline personality

Depression

But topics the group can talk about go beyond this list.

This group is for people who are living with mental illness and people who have family members and friends living with mental illness.

NAMI Montana is the Montana Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots organization for people with mental illnesses and their families.

Founded in 1979, NAMI has affiliates in every state and in more then 1,100 local communities across the country.

Of all of NAMI Montana’s work, the organization is particularly proud of its education programs. The courses offer insight into mental illness and recovery that is valuable to individuals struggling with mental illness and their families. NAMI Montana believes that these courses save lives. Its members offer them free of charge to the people and families that need them.
