The North Star High School speech and drama team saw success at the Class BC Northern Divisional Speech, Drama and Debate tournament over the weekend, with all seven team members making it to finals and the team earning a third-place trophy in Class C Drama and five advancing to the state tournament this weekend.
Choral Wicks and Katie Berg took second place in classical theater acting, as did Hayden Massar in humorous oral interpretation of literature.
Aubrey Welch placed fourth in spontaneous interpretation of literature, and Ashley Otto took fifth in dramatic interpretation of literature.
In impromptu speaking, Garret Peterson took seventh and Daniel Nerat eighth for the Knights.
The top-six finishers in each event advance to state, to be held this Friday and Saturday in Three Forks.
