Havre High School has announced that one of its December students of the month is Ethan Carlson.
The son of Andy and Christi Carlson, Ethan, a sophomore, has one younger sibling, Avery.
He is a member of the Havre High football team, plays baseball and and he enjoys hunting and fishing.
Ethan was nominated by Heather Haney because, she said, he has "an exemplary work ethic" and always "laughs at my corny math jokes." Haney said Ethan "strives to do his best work, always completes his work on time, and genuinely takes responsibility for his learning."
Ethan's plan for the future is to become a game warden.
The other Havre High December student of the month is sophomore Sydney Wilting.
The daughter of Eric and Ristina Wilting, Sydney has two siblings, Mason, 13, and Brooklyn, 10.
Sydney is a member of the Havre High volleyball, basketball and softball teams and also is involved in the Spanish Club and Flag Team.
She said that aside from her involvement in school activities, she also enjoys hanging out with her friends and teammates as well as hunting and fishing.
Sydney was nominated by Travis Aline for being a "promising individual, who possesses all of the traits necessary to succeed beyond the walls of HHS." Aline added that Sydney is the "definition of a happy warrior, someone who is delightfully determined to see the task through to its end."
Sydney plans on going to college in hopes of - most likely - being some type of surgeon.
