Looking forward to legislative session

January 2019, yes, it is! I want to wish each and every one of you the best of the New Year. By the time you read this, Judy and I will already be in Helena and the 2019 Legislature will already be in session. I am excitedly anticipating session this year. Having already been through one, I am familiar with the processes and procedures. I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things quickly and to see and talk with other lawmakers in Helena.

My plan is to get a short article in the newspapers most weeks, as I did last session. If there is an issue you would like mentioned or if you would like specific updates, please let me know. As of now, I have met with some county folks, school personnel, hospital employees, friends and neighbors in order to hear your most pressing concerns for our local north-central Montana district. Thank you all for the input and support. While we all may not agree on everything, everyone’s input is integral for a successful democracy to work. For the next four months, you can check online to get updates on bills, view live committee meetings, find any legislator’s information, plus just about anything that happens in Helena (leg.mt.gov).

A note that the state has changed servers, therefore my email has changed. It is now [email protected]. Any emails sent to the old address are being forwarded, but I am not sure for how long. That being said, if you email me, please include the name of the town you are from in the subject line. We do get plenty of junk, scam, and other solicitations, so by having your town up front I can identify and prioritize your email.
