Havre Police Department

A caller at a Montana State University-Northern residence hall reported Monday at 7:19 a.m. a pickup truck was broken into and a sound system and laptop stolen.

A caller on 19th Avenue West reported a hit and run between a semitractor-trailer and a car at 12:44 p.m. Monday.

--

A caller at a Third Street business reported Monday at 3:21 p.m. someone was rummaging around in her vehicle and had taken some change.

--

Monday at 4:59 p.m. a gold Chevrolet Malibu was reported stolen from Washington Avenue.

Daniel W. Williams of Havre, 41, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant during a vehicle stop on First Street West Monday at 10:26 p.m.

Verlas Reylynne Chiefstick of Box Elder, 59, was arrested on a charge of probation violation after a caller at a First Street West business reported suspicious activity at 2:14 a.m. today.

A caller reported suspicious activity at a 9th Avenue business at 2:54 a.m. today.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Hill County Sheriff's dispatch log showed no arrests or investigations.

Montana Highway Patrol

A call was received at 2:09 p.m. Monday reporting a two vehicle crash, between a full size Ford pick up truck and a sport utility vehicle, with no injuries on U.S. Highway 2 in front of the former Kmart building. A adult male driver failed to yield the right of way while merging onto the highway.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Monday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held two medium-hair cats of unknown gender, four medium-hair male cats and one long-hair female cat.

The Havre shelter this morning also held a male American bulldog, a female mixed-breed dog, a female Labrador retriever dog. a male mixed-breed dog, a female Anatolian shepherd/husky 9-month-old puppy and a male pit bull-Labrador 9-month-old puppy.
