Press release

Havre Middle School's Sixth-Grade Student of the Month for December is Heydon Olson.

Heydon is the daughter of Mike and Erin Olson. She has one younger brother, Tucker Olson.

Heydon is a part of middle school band and choir. She also puts forth extra effort in her studies, which shows in her high GPA. In her spare time, Heydon said, she loves to read, swim and ride her bike. During the summer months she spends time camping with family and friends.

At school, Heydon is kindhearted and has a smile on her face all the time. Her teachers comment on how she is always ready and prepared to work. She goes above and beyond asking questions for in-depth understanding. Heydon also volunteers whenever help is needed. These attributes make her stand out as a respectable student at HMS.

In the future, Heydon's dream is to own a farm and become a veterinarian.

December's Seventh-Grade Student of the Month at HMS is Brayden Kimberling.

Brayden's parents are Bill and Tiffany Kimberling. He has one brother, Dylan and one sister, Kortlynn Kimberling.

Brayden is part of Havre Middle School's football team. When he is not playing football, he likes to play baseball, ice skate and watch other sports. Brayden said he also enjoys spending quality time with this dad and mom.

As a student, Brayden's positive attitude exceeds expectations for behavior by following HMS' four Codes of Character. He is extremely polite and has excellent manners toward everyone around him. His behavior shows great maturity for his age and sets an example for other students to follow.

Brayden's future goal is to become a professional baseball or football player.

Avery Carlson is HMS' Eighth-Grade Student of the Month for December.

Avery's parents are Andy and Christi Carlson. She has one older brother, Ethan Carlson.

Avery is a very active student who participates in basketball, volleyball, track and band. She strives to maintain a high GPA and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. Outside of school, Avery said, she enjoys painting, crafting, riding four wheelers and learning how to driving a stick shift. She also loves spending time in Glacier hiking with her family.

At HMS, Avery is kind and extremely polite to everyone. She is driven to do her best and always challenges herself to go above and beyond. Teachers commend her outstanding social, leadership, academic and athletic skills that set the standard for other students to follow. Her behavior models what "Pony Pride" looks like at the middle school.

Avery's future plan is to attend college and pursue a career that allows her to work with children.
