Ryan Roth, Big Sandy Basketball

Big Sandy senior Ryan Roth finished his football season strong. Now he's picking up right where he left off with basketball. Roth scored in double figures in two games this past weekend, including pouring in 25 points in a tight loss to Hays-Lodge Pole Saturday night in Big Sandy. Roth also notched 19 points in the Pioneers’ thrilling overtime win over DGS Friday night as the Pioneers improved to 3-3 on the young season.

Shyan Krass, Turner Basketball

The Turner Tornadoes are off to a strong start again this winter, and a big reason why is the inside play of junior Shyan Krass. In a pair of Turner wins last week, Krass averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds, including recording a double-double in Turner's District 9C win over the Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks last Thursday night. Krass is scoring in double digits this year for the Tornadoes, after earning All-Conference honors a year ago.
