Editor,
Wooden signs, hand-crafted ornaments, homemade dog treats and welded metal work awaited lucky buyers Dec. 13 at the Sunnyside Intermediate School trade fair.
Thanks to the community’s stunning generosity, those items and much more — all created by students — raised $4,500 for area organizations. The money will go to the Havre Public Schools Scholarship, Havre Food Bank, Women’s and Children’s Shelter, Shriner’s Travel Fund and the Hi-Line Sletten Cancer Center.
Through this success, our students learned how seemingly small acts of kindness can generate a large impact. Here at Sunnyside, we hope our students become citizens of their community and caring individuals after they exit these doors. In these uncertain times, it is perhaps more important than ever that the next generation learns the values of compassion and selflessness.
Thanks you, Havre community, for supporting these children and showing them how to spread goodness through their actions.
