Warren was born on September 28, 1975, in Fort Belknap to William and Eleanor (Brockie) Brown. The family moved to Great Falls when Warren was very young, and he began school there. While in elementary school, the family returned to Blaine County to live in Harlem, where Warren attended school. While in junior high, the family relocated once again, this time to the Brown ranch at Three Buttes. He attended the Hays-Lodgepole schools and Flandreau High School, where he participated in rodeos. During his high school rodeo career, Warren rode rough stock, winning district and placing 11th overall in the state of Montana in saddle bronc riding. After school, Warren returned home, where he worked for Fort Belknap Housing for a short time. He then became a ranch hand working for various ranches, which he excelled at and continued to do throughout his working life, where he rode rough string.

Warren married Myrna "Minnow" Cochran in 2009, and the couple had a daughter in 2010. They remained committed to each other until Minnow's death in 2014.

He was a fun-loving man who loved to tease, especially the love of his life, his daughter, Marlee. Spending time with her was his favorite pastime, and he was very supportive of her, both in her education and her sports. He and Marlee attended the Set Free Church in Harlem nearly every Sunday. He also loved to ride and break horses.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eleanor Brown, and his wife, Minnow Cochran.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Marlee Brown of Harlem; sister, Ella Rose Brown of Fort Belknap; brothers, Doug J. (Shannon) Brown of Fort Belknap and Jeffrey J. (Lloydine) Brown of Ashland, MT; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
