Lilly Gopher, Box Elder Girls Basketball

Box Elder senior Lilly Gopher is picking up right where she left off. The 2018 Class C state tournament MVP is off to a hot start this winter for the Lady Bears, and on the opening weekend of District 9C play, she scored 40 points and grabbed 19 rebounds. Gopher, a three-time All-State selection, scored 18 in last Friday's win over Chester-Joplin-Inverness, then she poured in 22 points in last Saturday's victory over the North Star Knights.

Martin Wilkie, Havre Wrestling

Havre senior Martin Wilkie has done so much in his prep wrestling career. Saturday night in Idaho, though, he added some more to his legacy. Wilkie roared through his 145-pound bracket at the prestigious Tri-State Tournament this past weekend, capping off the run with a 12-0 decision in the finals over Dominic Damon of Nathan Hale High School. Wilkie, a three-time state champ and a University of Minnesota signee, won his other three matches by bonus points.
