Fire department responds to early morning fire

The Havre Fire Department responded to a structure fire about three miles east of Havre on U.S. Highway 2 Tuesday morning at 6:47 a.m. Havre Fire responded with two trucks, and Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department assisted with one truck. The outbuilding and a power pole were a complete loss. A windbreak sustained significant damage, but the main residence nearby was undamaged by fire. NorthWestern Energy was called to repair the power lines.
