Carl James "C.J." Havskjold passed away of cancer on November 30, 2018, at the age of 64.
He was born in Havre, Montana, to Evelyn and Duane Havskjold on April 18, 1954. In 1972, he married his high school sweetheart, Kathy, for life.
He graduated from Havre High School and after graduating worked with his father on the farm north of Havre. He then moved to Billings and later to Rock Springs, Wyoming, where he worked for Hemphill Trucking for 33 years. This job then took him to Williston, North Dakota, where he continued to work for Hemphill Trucking. After Hemphill Carl worked for various local companies then began working at Stallion Oil. With Stallion, he had finally found a good company full of wonderful people to work with.
His work ethic inspired many. In Williston, he was able to spend more time with his family, He and Kate began gardening and working in their woodshop. where he made beautiful furniture and exotic wood items.
He leaves behind a legacy of love to his wife, Kate "Kathy" Wasson Havskjold; sons, Jason (Melisa) Havskjold, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Curt (Katie) Havskjold, Wamsutter, Wyoming, Kelly (Kirsten) Havskjold, Williston, North Dakota; his parents, Evelyn and Duane Havskjold; sisters, Chris (Ben) Nardi, Jackson, Wyoming, Cathy (Scot) Choteau, Montana, Connie LaSalle, Helena, Montana; nine grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends
No services will be held at this time, as per C.J.'s request.
