Obituary - Rachel D. Kleinsasser

Rachel D. Kleinsasser, 90, passed away due to natural causes Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at her residence.

Her funeral service will be Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Hartland Colony.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Rachel was born to John and Sarah Waldner on November 19, 1928, at the Rockport Colony in Alberta. She attended school through the eighth grade. Rachel married David Kleinsasser on December 4, 1952, at the Rockport Colony. The couple was blessed with 12 children. Rachel was a skilled homemaker. She loved raising her children and providing for them. Rachel enjoyed sewing and loved to knit. She had beautiful indoor plants and flowers. She also took care of the purchasing of dry goods for numerous years.

Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, John and Sarah Waldner; daughter Sarah; grandchildren Clara and Levi; brothers John Sam, the Rev. George, Jacob and Joseph; and sisters Sarah and Katie.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, David; daughters Rachel (Rev. John) Kleinsasser, Ruth (Joe) Waldner, Rosa (the Rev. Jake) Waldner, and Mary (John) Wurz; sons David (Sarah) Kleinsasser, Sam (Lena) Kleinsasser, John (Nancy) Kleinsasser, the Rev. George (Mary) Kleinsasser, Joe (Judy) Kleinsasser, Jake (Judy) Kleinsasser, and Dan (Helen) Kleinsasser; sisters Annie Gross, Susie Waldner, and Rebecca Waldner; and her brother David Waldner.

Rachel was a very loving person. She will be missed by all.
