Press release
BOZEMAN — The Montana FFA Foundation is participating in the Facebook Giving Tuesday Match with the goal of raising $10,000 to provide FFA jackets, community service grants, scholarships and other opportunities to impact local FFA members.
Following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the Montana FFA Foundation will be conducting its annual phonathon fundraiser and donations made through the Facebook match Tuesday will help stretch those funds to increase impact for the 5,300 FFA members across Montana.
“We are hoping to increase our support for FFA members by encouraging current and new supporters to make this year’s donation through Facebook” interim Executive Director Bill Jimmerson said.
In the past 10 years, 20 new FFA chapters have been established in Montana, a jump from 77 to now 97 communities.
The foundation continues to increase the programs offered to the ever-growing number of FFA members, including the new Blue Jackets, Bright Futures program where members who do not have an FFA jacket can receive their own jacket through this fund.
“During this season of giving, we are excited to partner with our generous supporters and Facebook to give back even more to local chapters through community service grants, scholarships, resources for teachers and our new Blue Jackets program,” Jimmerson said.
To make a donation to the FFA Foundation, people can go to the Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/MTFFAFNDN/, and select the “donate” button on the #GivingTuesday fundraiser.
