Letter to the Editor - Thanks for helping preserve history

Editor,

On behalf of the H. Earl and Margaret Turner Clack Memorial Museum Foundation, The H. Earl Clack Memorial Museum and the Wahkpa Chu’gn Buffalo Jump, I would like to extend a sincere “Thank You” to the residents of Havre, Hill County and the Hi-Line for their support of our efforts to preserve local history.

Our Annual Dinner and Meeting was held Saturday evening, Oct. 27. Our corporate sponsors were Independence Bank (Miles Hamilton), the Duck Inn Inc. (Judi and Bill Dritshulas), Gary and Leo’s Fresh Foods (Laura and John Malasani), Lakeside Excavation & Rock Solid Materials (Emi and Tyler Smith), Murphy’s Pub (Whitney and John Bania) and Brandon’s Drapery and Flooring (Kelly Brandon). Thank you for your support. Thank you to Trudy Meyer and Gary Linie and the crew at the Duck Inn for the delicious dinner. A special thank you to Bill Whitsitt, Ph.D., chairman of the USS Montana Committee for his informative program on the future USS Montana nuclear submarine.

Work at our new museum in the Havre History Center is ongoing and will be a work in progress for several years. Thank you to all of the board members and local residents who so generously give of their time and talent for this cause. Come and take a peek inside — easily arranged with a phone call to 265-4000 — and we think you’ll agree that the new H. Earl Clack Memorial Museum will be impressive.

Most sincerely,

Judi Dritshulas

Vice chair, Clack Museum Board
