Asziyuh "Kyla" Ashley Valdez, 19, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Benefis Medical Center in Great Falls.
Wake services began at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018, and will continue until her funeral service, which will be at 11:00 a.m. today, Monday, November 12, 2018, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Russette Family Cemetery.
Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Kyla was born on September 13, 1999, in Havre to Sherry Spang and Ricky Valdez. She was raised in Rocky Boy, attending Rocky Boy schools. In March of 2017, Kyla began her training at Trapper Creek Job Corps in Dillon, majoring in carpentry.
She was a kind, outgoing, optimistic young woman who loved music, animals, and spending time with her friends and family. Kyla was very caring and looked for ways to help out others. She was the apple of her mother's eye.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents (adopted parents) James and Bernice Russette, and Gary Spang; and uncles Westy and Junior Spang, and James Russette, Jr.
Kyla is survived by her mother, Sherry Spang of Rocky Boy; father, Ricky Valdez of Havre; siblings Jesse, Antonio, Marissa, and Raeanne Valdez, Dalecia Tonasket, Kristy Chavez, "Brudder" James Gibson, Janna Chavez, Dale, Wesley, and Dean Russette, Deedee Gibson, and Ruth WolfChief; significant other Autumn Eagleman; best friend "Big Sal" Houle; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
