Northwest Farm Credit Services helps middle school pantry

The Havre branch of Northwest Farm Credit Services lent a helping hand to the pantry at Havre Middle School, with more help on the way.

Northwest Farm Credit Services has a "100 Percent Committed" program where the company provides $300 for every employee of a branch which is donated to a program and then the team also volunteers to help that program.

The effort provided $3,300 to the Havre Middle School's Pantry Program, run by Jean Murphy, with the Havre branch employees also committing to gathering food and clothing donations for the pantry program over the next 12 months.

The Havre branch comprises Relationship and Branch Manager Shaud Schwarzbach, Vice President of Operations Heidi Borlaug, Insurance Agent Jennifer Dees, Credit Officer Courtney Helmers, Financial Specialist Richelle Barrett, Insurance Specialist Stephannie Klein, Hogeland Local Advisor Adam Billmayer, Chester Local Advisor Craig Henke, Big Sandy Local Advisor Bart Bitz, Hingham Local Advisor Dave Sattoriva, Chinook Local Advisor Steve Swank and newly elected Gildford Local Advisor Jared Miller.

The Havre branch also called out to local people to help the Middle School Pantry Program, which is short of individual meals for needy students.

Murphy also said the program is in need of men's shoes - the boys' feet are getting larger, and she typically only receives donations of youth shoes.
