Havre Middle School lists students of the month

Havre Middle School's Sixth-Grade Student of the Month for October is Gus Chase.

Gus is the son of Joshua and Jennifer Chase. He has one brother, Will Chase.

Gus plays the clarinet for HMS band. He also works hard to maintain a very high GPA. Outside of school he enjoys playing hockey and riding motorcycles and horses. In his free time, he loves spending time with his family, especially his "awesome" brother.

In the classroom, Gus has an upbeat attitude and demonstrates a diligent work ethic. His teachers compliment him on how he adds positivity to the learning environment. Gus' extra effort and insight in his academics helps fellow classmates have a better understanding of materials being discussed. Gus is definitely setting the standard for what an HMS student should strive to be.

In the future Gus plans to become a mechanical engineer.

October's Seventh-Grade Student of the Month at HMS is Grey Brady.

Grey's parents are Charlie and Kami Brady.

Grey participates in middle school band and is a member of Jazz Band. Outside of school Grey likes to long board, ride his bike and play soccer. Grey also loves listening to music and spending time with his family.

At the middle school, Grey is a very kind and hardworking student. Teachers praise him for how driven he is to do his best at all times. Grey always challenges himself to excel in his academics to have in-depth understanding of the content areas. He helps others by going above and beyond for his classmates in any manner. These qualities represent what it means to have "Pony Pride."

Grey aspires to attend college and earn a degree in art.

Hannah Olson is HMS' Eighth-Grade Student of the Month for October.

Hannah is the daughter of Eric and Pamela Olson. She has two brothers and two sisters.

Hannah participates in track at HMS. She is also very active outside of school with rodeo, soccer and the Bear Paw Rifle Club. In her extra time, she practices rodeo, hunts or hangs out with family and friends.

At HMS, Hannah has a positive attitude that contributes to her academic success. She is a kind, helpful and studious student.

Hannah encourages her peers and shows support to other classmates in any way possible. Hannah possesses strong leadership skills that make her a great role model for other students. She is a great addition to our school in every aspect.

Hannah's future goals are to graduate from college with a degree in nursing.
