Havre Quilter Karen Vosen has two quilts in the International Quilt Festival in Houston Nov. 7-11.
Karen's "Rose of Sharon Sampler" and "East Meets West" quilts were juried into the "In Full Bloom" category at the festival. More than 1,500 hundred quilts are shown at this show.
"Rose of Sharon Sampler" is a hand-appliqued, hand quilted in yellow and purples done by Vosen.
"East Meets West" is a star quilt with oriental fabrics and hand appliqued oriental floral designs in the corners. Blacks, reds and golds are the predominant colors of this quilt. This quilt was quilted by Ingrid Hefty of Bozeman.
