Two summonses were issued after a First Street West business caller reported Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. the theft of two beers. The two were arrested later after a caller at the same business reported at 2:24 p.m. the same man tried to steal beer again. No details were given on the arrests.

Desirea Lee Writingbird of Rocky Boy, 38, was arrested on a charge of assault and on a Justice or City court warrant after an intoxicated and aggressive woman was reported Wednesday at 11:07 a.m. at the hospital.

A non-injury crash between a Buick and a Ford Fusion was reported Wednesday at 1:47 p.m. near Third Avenue and Fourth Street.

A non-injury vehicle crash was reported at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Eighth Street and 12th Avenue.

An aggressive black lab-pit bull mix was reported chasing kids down the street by a Smithville Road caller Wednesday at 6:26 p.m.

A 17th Street caller reported Wednesday at 8:22 p.m. that kids were egging houses in the area.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

A caller on County Road 451 Southeast reported people burning the ditches at 10:32 a.m. and asked if they had a burn permit for the area.

Two arrests were made after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a possible trespass at 1:59 p.m. Wednesday. No details on the arrests were provided.

A summons was issued after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a theft, forgery or fraud Wednesday at 1:40 p.m. No details on the charges was provided.

Bryan Lynn Haney of Chinook, 59, was issued a summons on a charge of shoplifting after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a theft at 5:34 p.m. Wednesday.

Vandalism was reported at 5:42 p.m. Wednesday on Fourth Avenue in Gildford.

A caller on Ninth Street East reported a disturbance at 10:29 p.m. Wednesday.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Wednesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held one medium-hair cat and one short-hair cat of unknown gender and six 6-week-old kittens being fostered until ready for adoption. Another 27 cats and two kittens were listed separately as being held in the shelter or at a volunteer shelter.

The Havre shelter this morning also held a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler-border collie dog, a male German shepherd dog, a female mixed-breed dog, a female pit bull-terrier-German shepherd dog, a male shepherd 23-week-old puppy, a female German shepherd-Bernese mountain dog 9-week-old puppy, a female mixed-breed 9-month-old puppy and a female mixed-breed 11-month-old puppy.
