Havre Police Department

A Second Street caller reported stolen medication Tuesday at 2:34 p.m.

At 3:48 p.m. Tuesday at caller on Sixth Street reported a woman was being harassed.

--

Three arrests were made or summonses issued after a Washington Avenue caller reported Tuesday at 5:07 p.m. two women were fighting in an alleyway. No further information was provided.

A Tuesday 5:20 p.m. caller on Washington Avenue reported that a dog killed a chicken.

--

Dyllan James Murray of Havre, 18, was issued a summons on a negligent endangerment charge after a caller at a First Street West business reported at 8:24 p.m. Tuesday a side-by-side had tipped over on a man.

Darin Penner Watt of Havre, 30, was arrested on charges of shoplifting and obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and on a state District Court warrant after an officer investigated suspicious activity on Second Street at 1:55 a.m. today, and Watt was linked to a shoplifting reported from a First Street business at 8:38 p.m. Tuesday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

An arrest was made at the Hill County Detention Center at 3:51 p.m. Tuesday. No further information was provided.

Deputies responded to a 7:05 p.m. Tuesday call from U.S. Highway 2 Northeast reporting someone who was walking in the road and was not dressed warm. Deputies were unable to locate the individual.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Tuesday.

Firefighters responded to a report of a gas smell on the 400 Block of Fifth Avenue at 1:11 p.m. Tuesday. A gas odor was detected and NorthWestern Energy was called. NorthWestern Energy found that a pilot light was out and took care of the problem.

Firefighters responded to a report of a gas smell on the 400 Block of Fifth Avenue at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday. NorthWestern Energy was called and no gas smell was detected.

Firefighters responded to a vehicle crash which a utility vehicle had rolled over on the 10 Block of First Street West at 8:24 p.m. Tuesday. One fire engine was sent to assist and one person was transported to the hospital.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one Himalayan, two long-hair, five medium-hair and one short-hair cats and a short-hair 6-month-old kitten all of unknown gender, a male and a female 9-month-old short-hair kittens, a male medium-hair 6-week-old kitten, a female medium-hair cat, a male 19-week-old medium-hair kitten and a 7-month-old male medium-hair kitten, as well as six 3-week-old kittens being fostered until ready for adoption.

The shelter this morning also held a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler-border collie dog, a male German shepherd dog, a female pit bull-terrier-German shepherd dog, a male shepherd 21-week-old puppy, a female mixed-breed 8-month-old puppy, a male boxer dog, a male border collie-Chihuahua 16-week-old puppy, a female mixed-breed 10-month-old puppy and a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler-German shepherd dog, as well as three puppies: two male mixed-breed 9-week-old puppies and a male pit bull terrier cross 9-week-old puppy.

Births

A boy was born Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, to Mara Brockie and Cody Kirkaldie of Box Elder.
