Mason Dionne, Havre High Football
Things haven’t always gone the Havre Blue Ponies’ way this season, but they did last Friday in Livingston. Havre junior Mason Dionne helped the Ponies beat the Rangers by rushing for a career-high 197 yards on 31 carries. For good measure, Dionne also caught three passes and threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to quarterback Reese Bulkley in Havre’s 27-16 victory. Dionne, who also stars at linebacker, is also an All-State wrestler at HHS.
Khloe Kamerzell, CJI Volleyball
The Chester-Joplin-Inverness volleyball team has had its share of tough times this season. But last week, the Hawks got a much-needed five-set win over Big Sandy, and Khloe Kamerzell was a big reason why. Kamerzell, who also shines on the basketball court, and in track for the Hawks, tallied 16 kills and 14 digs in what was CJI’s first District 6C East win of the season. Kamerzell and the Hawks finish their regular season this week.
