If you’re ever at Montana State University-Northern sporting events, then you've likely seen Dave and Pam Wilson. In one capacity or another, they’re always there, and they’re always volunteering their time for MSU-N Athletics.
And at the MSU-Northern football game against Eastern Oregon back on Oct. 6, the longtime Havre couple was honored for their service by the Frontier Conference.
Pam and Dave are regulars at nearly every athletic event at MSU-Northern. They volunteer their time to countless activities and teams to help make MSU-Northern great.
For the past 20 years, Pam and Dave have organized and run the chain gang at MSU-Northern home games. For many years, they instructed students and Northern teams on the ropes course and climbing wall. They have also worked the ticket booth at indoor events in the Armory Gymnasium and helped as timers for cross country meets.
Over the years, they have both worked as adjunct professors in the HPE department at Northern. Their service also includes time volunteering at NAIA National and Regional wrestling tournaments in Great Falls and Havre and they have helped as substitutes on the score table at Northern basketball games. For the past two years, they have run the hospitality room at the NAIA Women's National Basketball Tournament in Billings.
Pam and Dave have also helped many teams and individuals at MSU-Northern. They have coordinated and run team retreats in the Bear Paw Mountains as well as on the Missouri River for the Northern women's and men's basketball and football teams.
Pam and Dave Wilson embody the true spirit of volunteerism, and for that Northern has thanked them and recognized them with the Frontier Conference Distinguished Service Award. Presenting the award were MSU-Northern Chancellor Greg Kegel, Northern's Athletic Director Christian Oberquell, and Frontier Conference Commissioner Kent Paulson.
