Frontier Conference basketball doesn't start for a couple of months yet, but, with a new season of hoops on the way, the predictions are in.
On Thursday, the Frontier released its 2018-19 Preseason Coaches Polls, where the Montana State University-Northern Lights were picked to finish fifth, and the Skylights sixth.
On the men's side, Rocky Mountain College was tabbed to win the league title, followed by Lewis-Clark State and Carroll College. The University of Providence was picked fourth, while Northern was picked ahead of Montana Tech and UM-Western.
Carroll College was picked to win the women's title, edging out UM-Western. Providence was picked third, followed by RMC, LC State, Northern and Montana Tech.
The league also released its 2018-19 Preseason All-Conference Teams. No Lights or Skylights were named to the squad. RMC's Jared Samuelson was named Frontier Preseason Men's Player of the Year, while UM-Western's Brianna King earned the women's honor.
The Lights are set to open the season Oct. 27 at home against Salish Kootenai College, while the Skylights begin their season Oct. 19 against Mount Royal in Great Falls.
