Correction - Candidates

A front-page story in Wednesday’s edition of the Havre Daily News about Conor Burns’ campaign for the representative seat in House District 28, running against Rep. Jacob Bachmeier and independent candidate Bob Sivertsen, misreported some of Burns’ history. He was deployed to the Persian Gulf in January 2001, before the 9/11 attacks, and was stationed in San Diego, California, in 2003. When he moved to Havre, he transferred his VFW membership to VFW Post 497, but has not been active due to scheduling conflicts.
