Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Cassidy Acor, Havre High Volleyball

The Havre High volleyball team likes playing at home. And junior Cassidy Acor certainly showed that Saturday. In Havre’s three-game sweep of Class B Conrad, Acor led the Ponies with 13 kills and a pair of solo blocks. For good measure, Acor also served eight aces in Havre’s second defeat of Conrad this season. Acor is one of Havre's top hitters and blockers from her middle position. Acor is also a three-year varsity tennis player for Havre High.

Kade Strutz, Big Sandy Football

The Big Sandy Pioneers got their biggest win of the fall last Friday night when they thumped Denton-Geyser-Stanford 66-31. And one reason why the Pioneers rolled is because Kade Strutz went beserk. Strutz, a standout three-sport athlete at Big Sandy, rushed for 331 yards and an incredible six touchdowns in the win over the previously unbeaten Bearcats. Remarkably, Strutz did his damage on just 23 touches. He also stands out on defense for the Pioneers.
