Primary election set for Chippewa Cree Tribe Business Committee

The Chippewa Cree Tribe voters will be picking people Tuesday to advance to the general election for four positions on the Business Committee.

The primary election will be Tuesday, narrowing down 37 candidates to eight. The four council members will be selected Tuesday, Nov. 6 from the eight general election candidates.

Voters must be enrolled members of the Chippewa Cree Tribe; 18 or older on Election Day and provide a Chippewa Cree Tribal Identification Card at the polling place.

No voter registration is required for the tribal election.

The polls for the Chippewa Cree Tribe of Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation will be at the Chippewa Cree Wellness Center and will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
