The Chinook High School cheerleaders are holding an inaugural Beeter Chili Bowl Saturday, Oct. 13, as a fundraiser.
The doors at the high school auditorium open at 11 a.m. for the cook-off, with tasting to start at 11:30 and judging to follow.
The attendees will be the judges, a release said.
People can enter their chili as individuals or as a team with a three-member maximum. Each entry has a $10 fee and requires at least six quarts of chili to be brought to the auditorium by 11 a.m..
The tasting bowls will be sold at $5 starting at 11:30 a.m. Buying a bowl gives attendees access to the chili samples and a toppings bar. Each attendee will be given a score sheet to vote on their favorite chili.
