Havre Middle School lists students of the month

Havre Middle School's Sixth-Grade Student of the Month for September is Katie Messinger.

Katie is the daughter of Mike and Angela Messinger. She has three siblings Allie, Eric and Hawk Messinger.

Katie is a representative for the sixth grade in Student Council. She also plays French horn in HMS' band and practices the piano in her spare time. Outside of school, Katie enjoys reading and drawing and has a paper route.

At school, Katie is an amazing student. Her teachers commend her on how she portrays a model student with very high academic standards. She also demonstrates strong organizational skills that make her very reliable. Her overall kindness and willingness to help others displays the HMS' middle school spirit.

In the future, Katie plans to graduate from Harvard and become an architect.

September's Seventh-Grade Student of the Month at HMS is Isabella Valdez.

Isabella's parents are Ramiro and Celia Carmona. She has four siblings, Johnny Valdez, Hector Valdez, Elias Carmona and Diana Carmona.

At Havre Middle School, Isabella participates in chorus and band. She also is very committed to achieving a high GPA in her course work. In her free time Isabella likes to draw and loves to be around animals.

Isabella is a bright, cheerful student who exceeds all expectations. Her positive attitude is appreciated by everyone around her.

She is kind to others and always willing to lend a helping hand. Her compassion and ethics model what "Pony Pride" looks like at Havre Middle School.

In the future Isabella's goal is to become a veterinarian.

HMS' Eighth-Grade Student of the Month for September is Sophia Dawson.

Sophia is the daughter of Scott and Serena Dawson. She has two siblings Savannah and Selah Dawson.

Sophia's focus is on her academics and it is reflected by her outstanding GPA. She is very driven to do her best and is always challenging herself to do more. In addition to school, Sophia loves reading, writing, drawing and playing soccer.

Teachers commend Sophia on her amazing reading and writing skills. Sophia's hard work and ability to take on any responsibility make her a huge asset in her classes. She shows every aspect of HMS' "Code of Character" in everything she does at the middle school.

Sophia aspires to take life as it comes and make every effort to accomplish great things.
