Local candidate forum set for Wednesday in Havre

The Havre Daily News is holding a forum for Hill County and local legislative candidates to talk to voters about who they are and where they stand on issues.

The forum, with Montana State University-Northern Chancellor Greg Kegel moderating, will start at 6 p.m. in Hensler Auditorium in Northern's Applied Technology Center off of 13th Street.

In the forum, candidates from each race will be called up to give an introduction, then each candidate will have up to two minutes to answer questions. Who speaks first will be randomly determined, then the speakers will alternate.

The candidates in Hill County's opposed races, for commissioner, treasurer and justice of the peace have been invited as have the candidates in the races in Senate District 14 and House districts 27, 28, 32 and 33.

The Havre Daily wants to know what questions people have for candidates. Questions pertaining to specific candidates, specific races or issues in general can be emailed to [email protected].
